In depth

Verdict

Crystal Dawn and the reserve Eacharn have both won three times around here but this looks a tougher than usual claimer with RAPHAEL rated 87 and Comin' Through just 2lb lower. The former won a similar race over a mile easily last month and his two subsequent runs, including on Friday, have been over the extended 1m2f track. Jack Davison has booked Colin Keane for the latter, who was almost two lengths behind the selection last month and is no better off. Turbo Command won a track and trip maiden last month and wasn't beaten far in a handicap over a mile on Friday but Tony The Gent, who won this last year, hasn't scored since March. Cyrus Dallin has mainly raced in stronger company though hasn't run since October while Bobby Boy, who was rated 91 just a few runs ago, has been absent since August.
