Plenty of these have become disappointing including Regal Tramp, who has now gone 14 starts without winning. He was a short-head in front of Passion Planet when they occupied the places here in September but that was over 2m which may suit the pair of them. Better was expected of GORT NA MONA last year but she failed to fire. Jim Bolger's filly ran reasonably well over slightly shorter here last time and if ever she's to win a race this could be it. Prince Of Fire is better known as a jumper but made a decent start on the all-weather with a good run behind Melodie D'Amour a fortnight ago and wouldn't need much improvement to take this.
