Verdict

Markhan arrives with a penalty after scoring over 1m4f on Wednesday. He's won over a mile so dropping back shouldn't pose a problem and Dylan Hogan's claim takes care of most of the extra. TOO PRECIOUS began her winning run on a mark of 58 and she's now on 90. Her first three victories were over the track and trip before completing a four-timer over 1m4f. This is tougher but Commander Won, who led for a long way in that latter event before being swallowed up at the furlong pole, will ensure the strong gallop she needs. Kerosin was also behind in that event but is better off at the weights despite dropping back in trip and scoring a fortnight ago. It's a very long time since Spruce Meadows won a race but he invariably races in better company and would have a chance second to none at his best.
