Verdict
Brokopondo is versatile as to trip and has been slowly coming down the ratings after scoring at Down Royal in June. Power Grid won a claimer over 7f here in March and has been unfortunate not to add to his tally, staying on strongly recently over this trip. His astute trainer will have noticed a 2lb drop in the ratings. MAINICIN hasn't been beaten far in any of her three recent starts, the latest when just failing to hold off the in-form My Direction over 1m4f three weeks ago, so she gets the nod to add to her lone success. Duchessofflorence was having only her second start on the surface when scoring over the track and trip a couple of weeks ago and should make a bold bid to double her winning tally. Udogo returned to this track with a fair effort behind Creeping Ivy a fortnight ago and is only 1lb higher than his last winning mark.
