Verdict

NEWFOUNDLAND, a full-brother to the top-class Snowfall, is taken to make a successful debut though another newcomer, Trent, is a half-brother to two winners and out of a mare from a top family. Almanera, from last year's successful yard, has experience on the track having finished first past in a barrier trial before a fair effort in a hot Curragh maiden in July. He looks best of those with experience though Domestic Goddess gave trouble at the start before staying on over the track and trip last month and is open to further improvement.
