In depth

Verdict

Kuwait Direction had the front-running Shawaf close behind when runner-up here last week and there's little between them again. Master Matt, a four-times a winner on Turf, was having only his third start here when making the running until headed close home by Pulse Of Shanghai. That was over 6f and his earlier defeat behind Earls was over 5f on heavy going at Naas and he's much better off at the weights. Tide Of Time was beaten a length in that latter race and would have to be respected on that form though he's having his 27th start and has never run on an artificial surface. MRS BOUQUET gained her fifth victory in 15 starts when carrying a big weight to victory over 5f here earlier this month. She has no problems with the extra and can maintain her fine strike-rate though Ola Bonita is a very progressive filly making her handicap debut after a comfortable maiden success over the course and distance.
