Verdict

Gordon Elliott is taking advantage of FACE VALUE's lowly handicap mark and the former Brian Meehan inmate can gain his first success on the level after scoring over timber at Punchestown for new connections a couple of weeks ago. Cool Athlete won twice over shorter during the summer but has no problem with this trip and is one to note despite a rising handicap mark. General Bunching didn't show much in three maidens but caught the eye with a promising debut on this surface in a handicap last month. He can improve and go well while connections will be very keen to get a race out of the well-bred Flavia Tatiana so as to enhance her paddock value.
