Verdict
Armed Guard, who had been in good form prior to his latest race, started favourite but never really threatened last time. Well Insured, still a maiden after 35 career starts, couldn't replicate his earlier efforts in the same race though he didn't get the best of runs. He scored over timber in October and has slipped to what looks a very fair mark. BOG WAR just got up to gain his first victory over slightly shorter last month and then lost out in a three-way photo three weeks ago. He's taken to continue his recent good progress and land this. Pivot Bridge posted a better effort when fifth here last week but the less exposed Boronia looks a bigger threat along with Bumble Bee Slim.
