        Verdict

        After Caspar Netscher's victory in the German 2000 Guineas earlier this week, Ralph Beckett will be hoping Electrelane's second in a Listed race at York last month is good enough form to put her in contention. The home challenge looks a strong one, however, and DESSAU could prove the best of them. She beat Cherry Danon in a C&D Listed trial on her reappearance with Waldtraut back in third and has a similar profile to Kali, who won this for Waldemar Hickst in 2010. Survey also has strong claims as she beat the remainder of today's field in a Group 3 at Cologne last month though Ilena was beaten less than a length in second and could also finish thereabouts.
