Verdict
Standpoint can race off a lower mark on Turf and nearly took advantage when going close at Folkestone a week ago. He's preferred to Effigy, who is on a winning mark but was beaten a long way on his recent return to action. Last year's winner Count Ceprano may figure with a claimer's 7lb allowance helping his cause on his first start since April and Chepstow winner Bold Cross has claims in this company but ARASHI is preferred. He came home a four-length winner over a longer trip at last week's meeting here and, given he went close over today's distance before that, Derek Shaw's charge gets the nod.
