Verdict

This looks one of the most open renewals for many years. Military Order has landed three in a row but has yet to score at a higher level than Listed grade. There is no doubting his stamina, however. Auguste Rodin has always been seen as Ballydoyle's Derby horse but has to put a below-par effort in the 2000 Guineas behind him.The Foxes showed a bright turn of foot to land the Dante and is a class act, but there are lingering stamina concerns. PASSENGER came home third that day and may well have won with a clear passage. He'll be far more streetwise now and seems sure to improve again. Arrest impressed in landing the Chester Vase but now has to repeat the form on much quicker ground but Sprewell and White Birch are not to be discounted after putting up excellent efforts in their respective trials.
