Verdict
Stream of Gold looks a potential group winner but Sir Michael Stoute's colt may have to wait another day before collecting in this company, with Brunel taken to confirm Sandown superiority over him and Mac Love rated the best of the remainder. The selection ran a race full of promise at Sandown in the Group 2 Betfred.com Mile, setting a decent pace on his reappearance and keeping on well once headed, to be beaten half-a-length by Hurricane Alan. With the stable of Willie Haggas in much better form now the likelihood is that there is more to come from the son of Marju and he is taken to go one better today. Stream Of Gold is clearly improving but needs to do so if he is to reverse form with the selection and today's faster ground will not help his cause. Mac Love was a clear second best behind the impressive Rakti in the Lockinge at Newbury last time, form on which he holds Grand Emporium, and rates the best of the remainder but Brunel may get the run of the race and gets the vote.
