        Verdict

MAYSONG has done well since ending a long losing run at Sandown in July. Alice Haynes’ gelding will handle any give in the ground and has solid claims in this. Hector Loza has form here but this may be too far for Aidan Keeley’s mount and stablemate Canagat makes more appeal. Curtiz hasn’t fired this season and Newton Jack and Kondratiev Wave are closely matched on the form book but the in-form Sly Madam has to go on the shortlist. Painless Potter, also penalised, won for the first time in 16 starts at Chepstow nine days ago but that was a very modest maiden.
