      Verdict

      Sparkwell, Notable Tiger and Councellor are the three for the shortlist here and preference is for Sparkwell. Godolphin¿s representative is Notable Tiger and he is worthy of respect. The yard has had a number of winning debutants but there have been some disappointments too. This son of Tiger Ridge may be beatable though. Councellor is one of those frustrating individuals who seems to travel well in his races but then finds very little off the bit. He will be in the shake up here but he can be opposed. Sparkwell may be the one to lead them home. He too looks a far from straightforward ride on the evidence of his second at Lingfield last time where he pulled hard and found little in the closing stages. However, with that experience under his belt he can go one better this evening and lead them home.
