    Verdict

JALAPA was beaten nine lengths when third over 7f at Newmarket on her sole start last year but she will have learned from the experience and the extra furlong here will help. She has more scope than Hey Lyla and Kadovar with the latter fading in the closing stages over 1m2f in a handicap at Nottingham on his reappearance. Newcomers Merry Minister and Two Plus Two are best watched unless the market speaks in their favour.
