    Verdict

Jiroft won a Listed race in Milan last year so obviously has some ability, though hasn't shown a great deal so far for his new yard. BURNING THREAD looks the one to beat on his narrow defeat by Doctor Parkes at Doncaster earlier this month. He's a couple of pounds higher but is still well treated on his old form, though wouldn't want the ground to get any softer. La Fortunata carries a penalty for her Goodwood win and needs more but Swan Song has claims on her third at Ascot, though the extra furlong is a worry on easier going.
