Verdict

A couple travel over from Ireland with a shout. Liberated Light won a maiden over a longer trip at Killarney last month while Belgoprince landed a handicap at Tipperary earlier. But a switch to blinkers witnessed CITIZEN GENERAL win by a wide margin at Pontefract last week and he looks sure to be raised by more than today’s 5lb penalty in the future. Warhol and Warning Sign step up in trip after placed efforts over 1m2f while Captain Haddock finished runner-up over track and trip last time and won this under today’s amateur in 2021.
