A competitive nursery with which to start proceedings. Harlequin Striker bids for a hat-trick after following up a course and distance win with victory on soft ground at Newbury. Fieldsman looks harshly treated for a win at Brighton, however, while Berland was beaten off this mark at Newcastle though might be suited by the drop back to 7f. Ventura Shadow tries a new trip but Finial is already a winner over 7f, as is Pasticcio. Godolphin also have EVENING RAIN in the contest and she gets the nod to finally come good as she was doing her best work at the finish over 6f at Chester last time and is less exposed than Pivot Point and Guiding Light.
