Verdict

Second to the highly-regarded Son Of Camas at Newbury, KING ROLAND (NAP) should be a short-priced favourite in this and the dual bumper winner is difficult to oppose. Springfield Fox might be the one for forecast-backers as the former pointer was the only one to make a race of it with the unbeaten Boss Man Fred at Southwell. Buckhorn George ran well to get within eight lengths of Sporting John here last month but Thunderstruck turned in a shocker when favourite at Chepstow and still hasn’t won under Rules. Grey Getaway has gone backwards since his run at Aintree in the autumn.
