Verdict
Not too many of these can be given a chance and this should lie between the trio of Harapour, Ile de Paris and Our House, with the vote going to Harapour. The Paul Nicholls-trained French import showed improved form for the step up in trip at Fontwell last time when chasing home Willie John Daly (runs 1:10pm Kempton) and a reproduction of that effort may suffice. The Philip Hobbs-trained Ile De Paris ran promisingly when chasing home Martin Pipe's Control Man on his debut at Newton Abbot in November but has not been seen since. Pipe should have a good line to the Hobbs horse for his representative Our House but he too lacks the experience of the selection and may have to settle for a minor role. Very few of the remainder make much appeal with the Venetia Williams-trained Mendosino, an ex-German gelding who should appreciate the underfoot conditions probably the pick of them. However, Harapour sets a fair standard and gets the vote.
