Verdict

Ambion Wood made a couple of costly errors when beaten at odds-on at Fontwell on his hurdling debut. He'll know more today and looks the pick of those with experience but David Pipe's bumper winner CLOSE HOUSE is narrowly preferred today. He turned in a cracking effort when second to Montbazon in a valuable NH Flat race at Doncaster in March and that race has already produced several hurdles winners. Greywell Boy was well behind in that contest but has already finished third in a couple of starts over hurdles and should be thereabouts again, while Rasharrow's half-brother Milagros is worth noting for future reference.
