Verdict

Nickelsonthedime only failed by a short-head to catch Es Perfecto at Warwick and is 6lb better off so should turn the tables. Lydford Lad makes his hurdling debut after just one run in a bumper at Wincanton which has worked out well, though he already had a couple of wind ops. Kakamora changed hands for £105,000 after winning a maiden point last year and Bobhopeornohope cost a similar amount having also won between the flags. ASK A HONEY BEE’s only defeat under Rules so far came in the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham. He held off Saturday’s easy Wetherby winner Ashdown Lad on his hurdles bow and this further step up in trip is a plus.
