In depth

Verdict

Castlemore has been found a suitable opportunity, and bar a fall should be the one to beat ahead of Rollo and Rings Of Power. Castlemore returns to the fray having suffered a leg injury during his debut over fences at Worcester in May when pitched in against Rigmarole who himself disappointed that day. He has been given time to recover and now gets the chance to prove his worth over the bigger obstacles, having taken on far better opposition than today's rivals over timber in the past. The stable won this race last year with Out The Black and should collect again here. His former stablemate Rollo was pulled up on his first outing for Milton Harris at Fontwell at the weekend and makes a quick reappearance, but he will need to improve markedly to trouble the selection as will Rings Of Power. He has failed to get round on three of his last four starts and has a four-month absence to overcome into the bargain. Quite simply, Castlermore's class should see him through as long as he treats his fences with respect.
