Verdict

FRANCHOEK is no penalty kick but he should be able to brush aside recent winner Hector's Choice. Alan King's gelding has to shoulder a big weight and give plenty of weight away, however his recent fifth to Chomba Womba is solid form and whilst his career may not have proceeded as planned, he can get back on the winning path today. He stays well and should cope with the ground ok, having won on soft in the past. Hector's Choice won well recently at Newbury but that was not a particularly strong race for the track and although he is unexposed and progressing, he faces stiff competition today. Doubly Guest has some solid handicap form to his name and is another who is proven on soft ground; he doesn't look amazingly handicapped off 125 and racing from 3lbs out of the weights will hardly help. Lupanar wasn't given a hard time at Cheltenham after making a crucial mistake late on and is not one to rule out, however it is Franchoek who can oblige.
