Verdict

Mauritino had an alternative engagement at Ludlow yesterday so this may be best left to SOULARD. David Pipe's eight-year-old has been largely confined to chases lately but finished a fair third at Newton Abbot a month ago and, 10lb lower over hurdles, has every chance of ending his losing run today. Consulate has been a little below par lately, however, and may need some help from the handicapper while Dot's Delight appears to have lost her way. But Strathcal looks capable of picking up a small race this winter and has more scope than Mr Bachster.
