CROOKS PEAK failed to land the odds at Newton Abbot last month but that can’t have been his true running with heavy going a legitimate excuse. He had smart bumper form and gets another chance. Some Day Soon was only beaten a short-head at Bangor and was then fifth in a better race at Cheltenham so looks a danger given there should be more to come.
