Verdict

LUTTRELL LAD (NAP), highly tried last time when promoted from maiden hurdle success straight into Grade 2 company in the Persian War at Chepstow, ran an excellent second to his far more experienced stable companion, Comprond. He displayed classy bumper form last season and sets a strong standard despite his penalty. However, I Am Maximus could well threaten favouritism as he's highly regarded at Seven Barrows after an impressive bumper debut when beating My Drogo - the latter having gone on to Grade 1 success over timber. He's a fascinating hurdling debutant. Killarney bumper winner, Judicial Law, is also noted on a first start for Jonjo O'Neill.
