Verdict
Cloudy Copper, a winner between the flags and twice over hurdles, looked in need of the run at Chepstow a month ago after returning from a long break and ran well for a long way. Richard Johnson takes the ride again with Richie McLernon, who had ridden Jonjo O'Neill's charge to victory over timber, on board stablemate Mountain Tunes, who looked a smart prospect when landing a point-to-point and scoring twice over hurdles two years ago. KRACKATOA KING looked a potentially useful stayer when battling to victory over three miles over hurdles at Newbury and is taken to make a successful start over fences in what looks a race to follow. Heronshaw scored over 3m2f at Warwick over timber and stamina looks his strongpoint so he's one to watch out for.
