In depth
Verdict
Mariday is a tentative selection in a poor contest and is taken to win at the tenth attempt over hurdles, with Alina Rheinberg the one to put up a real fight. David Pipe's six-year-old was well-fancied when narrowly failing to hold on at Huntingdon last time out and with this more testing track more likely to place the emphasis on stamina, he can be fancied to give punters a good run for their money. He is at the right end of the handicap and looks the call in an open race. Red Society warrants respect as a course and distance winner but has been out of form since returning to the racetrack and looks opposable again, as does Sherrif Roscoe who is too inconsistent to place any faith in. Alina Rheinberg is more interesting as she ran a cracker last time out when finishing like a train to finish a gallant second. She will love the ground and although stamina is still an issue, she looks the main danger. At a price a back on song Keswick would be a real danger but that looks unlikely and so we will return to Mariday as the selection.
