In depth

Verdict

The progressive MORODER (NAP) may still prove ahead of the handicapper despite a further 6lb rise. He landed a hat-trick with his latest course and distance success and a line through the second gives him the beating of Morning Spirit, a runner-up over these fences in December with Classic Ben well beaten. The latter has found one too good over a longer trip here subsequently while Equus Dreamer looks a threat on his second outing after wind surgery having gone close at Carlisle last month. Len Brennan disappointed sent off favourite at Southwell while Canelo continues to struggle.
