          Verdict

          Leprechaun’s recent victory came in a maiden here on the all-weather but he is likely to be prominent in the betting along with Beethoven, though the latter doesn’t have much in hand on Thomas Tucker on his recent win here over 6f. Blinkers may well bring about some improvement in BIG MYTH, who is having a first run for Hekkie Strydom. This represents something of a drop in class for Richard Fourie’s mount. Torio Lake was second to Master Newton over a slightly shorter trip on Polytrack here at the start of the month but never threatened the winner. Sauvage looks the pick of the remainder on his latest third over 1m when he had Ocean Master and Chestnut Wild behind.
