Verdict
Harmonya Maker was very impressive when winning a maiden on this track but a bit disappointing when only third in a Punchestown Listed contest, though was probably taking on a couple of smart types. Granny Lowrie's second in a Listed race at Cork was her best run to date while though Popova didn't show much between the flags it was a different matter on her hurdling bow at Thurles where she scored with something in hand. Phils Choice had shown potential in bumpers and was in the lead when running out at the second last on her hurdling debut at Limerick. Dual bumper winner PINK IN THE PARK had no answer to Kalanisi Star at Gowran and the winner has been beaten subsequently but Willie Mullins' mare looks the one to beat with her maiden allowance a bonus.
