Verdict

Many of the top yards have runners in this big field and any market moves should be closely monitored with only six of the 20 runners having seen action under Rules so far. Noel Meade, Jessica Harrington and Willie Mullins have all sent out the winner in recent years and all three have more than one representative this season. The latter saddles four and it might be that Katie Walsh’s mount, the 65,000 euros filly Yukon Lil, will prove the pick. Harrington’s Sizing Pottsie beat WHOSHOTTHESHERIFF at Leopardstown last month but the latter was a little keen in the early stages and had nothing more to give once headed. Jamie Codd takes over the reins on the Dylan Thomas gelding today and he may just turn the tables if he settles better. Pat's Pick is by Shantou out of a bumper winner so could play a part if not hampered by a lack of experience.
