Lynott gained a surprise victory over High Magic at Roscommon and though he likes fast ground an 8lbs rise may prevent a follow-up and the runner-up can reverse the placings. Leah Claire has been running well but may just be in the grip of the handicapper after her victory over a big field at the Curragh a month ago. Wikaala has a huge weight to carry and most of his recent form on the level has been on polytrack. However, he enjoys fast ground and is such a consistent performer that he should go close in this wide-open contest. My Blue Heaven is another who likes to here her hooves rattle and she looks well enough treated to make her presence felt but the booking of Pat Smullen for Willie Mullins' CRU, a winner when last seen over hurdles at Thurles in February, is an eye-catcher and the six-year-old can gain his first victory on the flat.
