Verdict

Blindspin was thrown in at the deep end on his chasing debut in a Grade 3 at Galway but ran an astonishing race, leading at the last but eventually finishing tailed off. He'd previously shown little over hurdles and that may have been a fluke. Charlie Swan runs both Regal Ambition and Second Glance with preference for the latter who has produced fair efforts over fences at Sligo and Wexford, jumping nicely on both occasions. Point-to-point winner Romanesco showed enough ability over timber to suggest he can do well over the bigger obstacles but this may go to CODE OF THE WEST, who is bred for chasing and his three decent runs over hurdles will have set him up nicely for a crack at fences.
