In depth

Verdict

Plenty of well connected newcomers here with the likes of Venture Capital and Starkie, who ran out when favourite for a point-to-point in May, looking likely types. The Mighty MIlan attracted support on his debut at Thurles and ran very well behind Corbally Ghost, who has won subsequently. He should build on that and go well though The Boys Dont Know also caught the eye with a nice debut effort at Cork and will also improve. THOMAS EDISON made his debut over hurdles at Down Royal and made a couple of bad errors but still had enough pace to finish in a place. He's by Danehill Dancer so should have more basic speed than most of these and gets the vote.
