In depth

Verdict

ITS THE ICE I LIKE started odds-on for a maiden at Navan last month but was run out of it close home by the well-backed Abou Ben. That was over 2m and having won a point-to-point today's longer trip should enable him to gain his first success over hurdles. Changing Times has run some big races over timber as he did when narrowly beaten at Limerick last time though he may do better on less testing ground. Mazuri Cowboy easily won a point-to-point at Lisronagh before a fine debut over timber behind Firebird Flyer at Tramore. With progress virtually guaranteed he looks a nice prospect and will give the selection plenty to think about. Prince Ludovic pulled much too hard at Cork last time and is much better than he showed that day.
