Verdict

GRANGE WALK ran a superb race to finish a close second in a Grade B handicap at Leopardstown. Though well beaten by Gentleman De Mee in a Navan Grade 3, the winner followed up in the Grade 1 Maghull at Aintree. Mt Leinster wasn't far behind in the former race and went one better with an easy success on a return visit so has to be a major threat. Buddy Rich finished runner-up in his first four starts over fences before scoring at Navan. He's better on good ground so wouldn't want more rain while Sil Ver Klass landed a course and distance handicap in January but has disappointed from his raised mark subsequently. Poseidon beat the selection in a Cork handicap in October and, if the ground dries out, could be a threat to all.
