Verdict

Waxies Dargle won a maiden hurdle at Leopardstown in January and competed at a high level subsequently. He's top-rated of those with experience but faces several progressive types. Gold Platinum was unfortunate to be disqualified at Clonmel in April and gained compensation at Wexford a week later while the ex-German Odit jumped well and made all at Down Royal in May though that was on fast ground. Winning point-to-pointer and bumper Sir Abbot was a long odds-on chance in a Clonmel maiden at the end of last month and probably won with a bit more in hand the the margin suggests. You Must Know Me looked very promising over hurdles and fences in 2012 but didn't win again until May when scoring over fences while Time For A Pint has won three races on fast going and will find these conditions much tougher. AKLAN, a Listed winner on the Flat, made a very impressive debut over timber at Navan in January, his first start for over a year, so the lack of a run won't be a problem and Ruby Walsh picks him over the race-fit Digeanta so the hint should be taken.
