Barca has improved with each run though only at a moderate level and is unlikely to repay much of his $900,000 yearling price. Guardia Svizzera has also looked moderate in sprints though the extra furlong could bring about some improvement as it did for Perfect Soldier when runner-up to New Terms here earlier this month. That looks about the best form on view though the vote goes to Dermot Weld's newcomer FIDAAHA, who is out of Jim Bolger's fine mare Ceiste Eile who has produced winners with her first three foals to run, two of them at Group 3 level.
