Never Rains has done well for new connections after landing a Killarney claimer and deserved her victory in similar company at Gowran but has shot up the ratings as a consequence. SYRENA has the inside berth and has been running well in big fields. If the gaps arrive she can take this though there are numerous dangers including Bigger and Better. Tony Martin's charge easily landed a Gowran handicap over a mile before finding the in-form Franklyn too strong at Listowel and Paddy Harnett's claim is a plus. Lord Rapscallion is also well berthed and looked on the way back to form at Gowran so has to be respected but stable companion Angels will do well to get involved from stall 20.
