In depth

Verdict

HIGHLY TOXIC, who has much the highest rating of these despite only winning once in 20 starts, has his big weight reduced by Denis Linehan's claim. His two placed efforts in very strong handicaps in mid-summer would make him very difficult to beat and he ran over a trip much too short last time. Vivat Rex is next best in though he hasn't scored on Turf since making a successful debut for Aidan O'Brien two years ago. Eighteen Summers has never won over a trip this far while the veteran The Fox Tully has a strike-rate of 2-52 though he's been going quite well in handicaps in recent weeks and could snatch a place.
