Verdict
There doesn't look much in the pedigree of LONG DOG to suggest he'd make a jumper but Willie Mullins obviously saw something in him when he sluiced home over 1m2f at Sligo last August and he can make a successful start to his new career. Fine Article looks a major threat after his close second to Killer Crow on his debut over timber at Naas and he should take advantage of any flaws in the selection's jumping. Marinero has won between the flags and also landed a bumper here in May so he should soon put a disappointing hurdling debut behind him. The bumper victory of Our Sox at Down Royal came on very fast ground though there's no reason why today's conditions won't suit while Riviera Sun landed a Down Royal bumper in good style before failing in the championship event at Punchestown.
