Verdict

Cityar bids for a quick-fire hat-trick following recent wins at Ludlow and Catterick but could be vulnerable under a big weight and over a longer trip. Platinum is probably the pick of the weights on his defeat of Numen at Ludlow but Philip Kirby's five-year-old may have been flattered by the margin of his success while Kickahead's best form is on fast ground. JOAN D'ARC won a novice event over 2m here last season and this looks to be her best chance over hurdles since. She gets a tentative vote receiving 7lb and upwards from her rivals.
