Verdict
WAY BACK WHEN is a speculative selection ahead of Lady Karabaya and Atared. Alan King has not had the best of seasons but he can have them ready in this sphere and his mare should be capable of putting two runs under rules to good use by landing the nightcap. Lady Karabaya is stoutly bred. She was easy to back on debut and was not given a tough time once the leaders quickened. Atared is on debut. A half-sister to all-weather performer, Ghufa, she was certainly bred with the flat in mind. Sold for just 5000 guineas at the sales - she cost very little money given her pedigree. Madame Jasmine was disappointing at Folkestone having shaped with promise at Southwell. Viking Gold is impeccably bred as jumpers go. Her dam's close relatives include top flight chasers Flagship Uberalles and Viking Flagship. Lucy Wadham can have winners at this level and any support for Midnight Macarena should not be ignored. A race where the market will tell us plenty and for the winner we return to Way Back When.
