In depth

Verdict

Sorbet took a further step forward when second at Doncaster and is getting the hang of things now but Fingal D'Arthel weakened quickly at Sedgefield on his first run for Donald McCain. Kingfast had a pipe-opener on the all-weather last month having shown promise on his first two hurdle starts while Medalla De Oro is a four-times winner on the Flat, though may need this. EROS represents last year’s winning stable and he had Monarchofthegrange behind when a staying-on fourth at Huntingdon last month. That may be the best form on offer.
