In depth

Verdict

A poor seller in which Approaching Land gets the vote ahead of Let's Celebrate and Clydeoneyed. Mick Easterby's charge has not got too many miles on the clock and with AP McCoy booked - the Sheriff Hutton based handler clearly means business. Lets Celebrate is a hold up performer who will be played late again. The Hereford race in which he finished fifth was run in a quick time so it would be no surprise to see him take a hand here. Clydeoneyed was initially thought of as a staying type but an unsuccessful spell over extreme distances appears to have been scrapped in favour of attempts at the minimum trip. Beyond Borders is yet to win in thirty-seven starts and appears to have lost his way badly. Princess Stephanie's best form has been shown around here but given the overall profile of her racing career that isn't saying too much. The remainder have shown few signs of ability under rules. Approaching Land secures the nod.
