Verdict
TIGU makes his debut under rules for Tim Vaughan after winning a couple of points, and although his previous hurdling and chase form is nothing to write home about, his successes between the flags can be replicated here at the expense of Mad Professor and Laharna. The rain shouldn't hinder his chances, and a first time tongue strap may concentrate the mind. He's giving weight away to all bar Laharna, who returns to chasing following a couple of third placings in his last couple of runs. Another point winner, he may have too much to carry though on what's a big step up in trip on what he's been used to of late. His last win came in February, a race in which Mad Professor fell; when they renewed rivalries last month, Laharna again came out on top, and there's just two pounds difference in the weights again today. Only one favourite's won this in the last eight years, and we're happy to support Tigu.
