Verdict

Ex-pointer Hawthorn Hill bids to repeat his recent course victory at the expense of recent winners, Golden Rod and Trillionaire. Staying will be the name of the game and recent course and distance winner, Hawthorn Hill, should have no problems on that score. Golden Rod hails from a decent yard and is upped in trip today. He was certainly a decent winner at Uttoxeter two runs ago but he doesn't strike as being the most likely of stayers on what he have seen thus far. Trillionaire finally took his first race after fifteen unsuccessful attempts. He is exposed but a 6lb rise at the weights doesn't look to be too harsh under the circumstances. Mister Webb is similarly exposed and doesn't look a dour stayer on breeding.
