In depth
Verdict
Cool Roxy, Kaldouas and Englishtown are the trio against the field here, and Englishtown can spring a surprise for the O'Neill-McCoy combination. Cool Roxy has not won in seven starts since scoring over this course and distance, but is only two pounds higher than that success here. He loves this track, and looks sure to give a good account, though the handicapper may still have his measure. Kaldouas represents Paul Nicholls, but he too has not scored in his last six efforts. He is yet to prove he handles this surface, and that he sees out this trip. He is taking a drop in class though and can go well. Englishtown returns after a break but he won this race last year in facile fashion, and clearly comes to hand at this time of year. He is only six pounds higher than when taking this contest, and despite two disappointing efforts since, Englishtown is taken to resume winning ways.
